About Our Coach

I’m not one who puts up big, impressive numbers, times, weights lifted or accomplishments. I’ve never won a competition, race or event. While these things are admiral achievements to be celebrated, my passion lies deep within the key aspects of CrossFit: Community, Holistic Lifestyle, Scalability, Work Ethic, and Improvability. I’m a stickler for proper form and technique and believe mastery of the movement while moving outside the margins of our comfort zone will build lasting success that carries far beyond the gym. When not in the gym, you’ll likely find me outdoors—camping, hiking, biking, kayaking, or exploring the beauty of Minnesota’s North Shore. CrossFit has fueled my love for these adventures.

Turning Point

In January 2016, after realizing my at-home workout routine was no longer bringing the change I needed, I joined a CrossFit bootcamp. From the very first time I picked up a barbell, it was love at first lift. It was a combined approach of CrossFit + proper nutrition that provided me with the tools I needed to make small, sustainable changes that built lasting progress. Additionally, my own personal journey through injuries, surgeries, and setbacks has shaped my fitness philosophy: fitness isn’t about chasing the whiteboard - it’s about adaptability, resilience, and embracing the process at your own pace. I’ve had more setbacks than successes at times, but they’ve all shaped the coach and athlete I am today.

Motivation & Passion

In 2018, I began coaching CrossFit group classes, bootcamps, strength training, teen classes, and nutrition programs. Today, I’m excited to help athletes in our CrossFit Una Stamus community practice proper movement, develop foundational strength, and embrace a lifestyle of health and wellness. My motivation is not defined by trophies, records, or podium finishes. I believe CrossFit is for EVERYONE, regardless of age, weight, strength, speed, ability, or limitation. Whether you’re working toward your first pull-up, recovering from an injury, or training for your first marathon, I am dedicated to meeting each athlete exactly where they are. My role as a coach is to help you discover a path that celebrates progress and builds confidence to keep moving toward your goals. My purpose as a coach is to foster a community where every athlete feels supported, challenged, and inspired—no matter their starting point. My mission is to uphold our Una Stamus motto—Together We Stand. Strong.
